I came here last weekend with a group of four. We loved all of the dishes we ordered - absolutely delicious. I travel to Adelaide occasionally for work - I will definitely be back the next time I’m there!

I have always wanted to try Swordman’s Kitchen but never get the chance to (Sunday is my only day off and they don’t open on Sundays). Finally we made it happen on my birthday this year! We made a reservation at 6pm. There weren’t a lot of people when we arrived, but it was fully packed by 7pm. Everything we ordered were perfectly executed and delish A really thoughtful restaurant as we noticed the waitress knew when we were about to finish the dish, so the chef could make the next dish according to our pace We do observed there was only one chef in the kitchen, hence we had to wait a bit in the middle but the food really worth the wait! ⭐Strongly recommend the Grilled Eel Rice Bowl (Don)! It was so delish that we almost forgot how full we were lol We just kept on digging in until its all gone… Have already recommended this restaurant to my besties. The best Japanese restaurant in Adelaide of all the others I have visited so far. Definitely coming back again!

Small restaurant with dim ambiance, great for a date. Okonomiyaki was very small, tastes alright. Chicken karaage was also a small portion and not crispy, but the chicken was tender and juicy. Unagi Don was pretty good, except there were a million tiny bones I had to pick out. Egg was cooked to perfection. Steak Don was cooked very nicely but the taste didn't have a wow factor. Very pricey for what you get. The waitress wasn't that friendly as well.

We enjoyed our time at Swordman's Kitchen on Rundle Street. Love the brick wall in the store with a lonely sword hanging on it. Excellent services, the waitress is friendly with smile on her face all the time. My friend and I didn't expected much about the food as it was our first time but we were both amazed in the end. I am in love with the pumpkin dumplings. YOU MUST TRY IT! It is completely beyond my expectation and it becomes one of my must-order dishes from this store. Mention about the Ramen, you can choose the level of the spiciness when you order. I requested for medium and I was pleasantly surprised. It's not a typical Japanese Ramen, but I loved it. In terms of drinking, there is Snow Beer, hahaha, one more point added for that. As we had lunch on a Sunday afternoon, there wasn't many people, and the food was served quickly. However, observing that there is only the chef and the waitress in the store, I don’t know how would they manage during the peak time... Anyway, good food is worth the wait.

The most underrated Japanese in Adelaide. The pumpkin dumplings are one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted, try it, I promise you won’t regret it! The don-bowls and curry are delicious for mains as well - huge serves. Run simply by a husband and wife, I could not recommend this place more.

The food there tastes amazing and the staff were lovely. They have many great food options including some great chef specials, like their fried ice cream. Will definitely be going again, great to see innovative non chain businesses.

Exzellent place for a dinner for people who like well spiced food. They also take care for individual wishes in case you don't like a certain spice or are allergic to certain things.

The chicken karaage and teppenyaki oyster were delicious. Yaki udon was good, but I'm not a fan of mayo in it. The katsu don had too much sauce, making the rice soggy, but the pork cutlet was good. Overall, not bad. If you're into Japanese food in Rundle Street, I'll come back for sure!
